Harlem Globetrotters, America’s premiere basketball entertainment team, never had shied from glasses. Of a specific blend of comedy and courage to the Athletics 1974 kids ‘ morning show, “The Harlem Globetrotters Popcorn machine,” the team has been playing and performing for 86 years in a row.

Globetrotters lineup currently offers the holder of the Guinness “world’s tallest Professional Basketball Player”–a 7-foot-8-inch man United Kingdom under the name Paul “Tiny” Sturgess, who is five months in the first leg of the tour.

Avid golfer in high school, Sturgess suddenly grow 12 inches a year, and men’s basketball coach suggested he might give basketball a try. At the end of high school, he is 7 foot 2 inches tall, and he grew 6 inches over the next year.

After moving to the US and attended lectures at the University of the West Virginia Mountains in the country, quickly became a favorite of Sturgess fans, leading the team to two regional Championships. Now in his first season as a Globetrotter, he was joined on the Court by the shortest player in Globetrotter history – “too high” Jonte Hall, which stands at 5 feet 2 inches.
